TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
In the year 2000 eleven schools in the Gresswell Cluster of the Victorian Education Department, became interested in the Peer Mediation Program.
Despite our enthusiasm we had little idea of how to put the program into operation in our schools.
Fred Stern came to our assistance. In the early stages, he acted as advisor, helping us to draft a submission and seeking financial assistance for the project.
In 2001, Fred has been able to share his expertise and vast experience in the field of Peer Mediation. He has conducted inservice days for students and teachers from participating schools.
Participants were very impressed with the manner in which Fred presented his inservice activities. His enthusiasm and knowledge were clearly transmitted. He involved people in a wide range of activities which assisted them to develop sound understandings of the process of Peer Mediation.
Both adults and students believed that they were capable of implementing the Peer Mediation Program in their schools. This confidence resulted from the stimulating manner in which Fred projected his ideas.
Fred has displayed a great willingness to assist individuals to comprehend all aspects of the program. His video and printed materials provide handy references for schools to use in an ongoing manner.
I highly recommend Fred Stern as an expert in the field of Peer Mediation. I have appreciated his caring interaction with the Gresswell Cluster of schools. We have benefited greatly from his excellent organisational skills.
Yours Sincerely
